If you have replaced the bulb and the warning light indicator still flashes fast only on one side of the car the bulb holder or wire to the bulb holder is causing a voltage drop, possibly due to a corroded bulb holder or bad ground. Try temporarily supply ground to the ground side of the bulb and see if the light works correctly (then you know problem is ground related) then try supplying fused battery power to the the power side of the bulb holder to see if hte bulb holder itself is OK.
I had a similar problem with the drivers side front blinker (went through about 4 bulbs). Found that it was a loose connection in the socket between the socket and the bulb. I fixed it by pulling the wires away from the bulb before putting it in the socket and also bending the metal within the socket with a wooden toothpick to help the connection. Could not get a bulb working for more than a week straight before it would burn out and now it has been 2 months with the same bulb. Hope this helps.
I had a problem with signals working whenever they felt like.. turned out to be the safety flasher switch.. I guess all the signals run through it and it was faulty.
