What is your question?
Randomly I will turn the key with the clutch depressed and the struck won't start. If I let the truck roll a few feet then try it again it starts. Why? And how do I fix it?

To suppliment Zee, you could have a faulty clutch pedal switch too. And on some 90's Ford's the starter solenoid signal wire terminal at the starter corrodes and contact fails. An updated harness is available for some models.
In a automatic Mazda b3000 2005 there is a part called a neutral safety switch on the transmission. i swear its true but really weird. they are 11 point electronic part. it'll deplete battery and car or truck will die on you and not start up. my sisters truck is doing that now 35-44 dollar part, labor should not be that much as its on outside of trany under the battery area. it plugs into female area electric, on trany. hope this helps
Thanks. Am changing out the clutch pedal switch as there was no corrosion on the solenoid.
Did you tested the switch? If the switch is bad there would be no click from the starter. I think you are replacing a perfectly good part. Zee
Zee, the reason I recommended looking at the clutch switch was from a switch that has intermittent contact - will connect and then lose continuity, causing the starter to click and stop. I've seen a few of these. Naturally, testing is what I am recommending! Can't stand diagnosis by part replacement...
Dave, I absolutely understand and agree to your suggestions. I would just not replace the switch without testing it just because there was no corrosion on the terminal. :-) When I suspect an intermittent problem with the switch, it usually helps to hold the key into the START position, pump the clutch pedal several times and see if it cranks/starts. For a diagnostic purpose the switch easily can be by-passed, and that's what I'd do. Let's see what happens. Zee
Agreed!
Did test the switch and it did have a problem. Rather than by-pass the switch I opted to replace as replacement was twenty bucks. I will also be using this vehicle to teach my 15 year old son to drive, so an operational switch is a must for safety (his and mine). Thanks for the help folks, I appreciate it.
