Will a 1986 turn indicator with cruise replace my broken one in my 1991 volvo 240?

Hard to say, the only issue I see is the electrical connector, if they are the same you're probably OK.

The part numbers are different, and a 1986 switch will not work in a 1991 240. Part# for a 1991 is 3523536-5.
