Transmission Rattling Noises

What is your question?

I own a 1999 Mercedes Benz C230 and when the car is in park and neutral there is a sound coming from the transmission that sounds like something is rattling. It makes the same noise but a little quieter in lower gears. Once the car gets into higher gears the sound goes away. What should i do?
