I have a 2006 Impala it goes to first and second gear but hard time going to 3rd gear it runs good on first and second but it doesn't want to go to 3rd

Hello, a diagnostic tool should be used to monitor data to and from the transmission during driving. If the command is being sent to shift to third gear, and it doesn't happen, and there are no warning lights and the shift solenoids show they are in the proper positions, I would suspect an internal hydraulic transmission concern.
