Transmission problem

Late engaging...you mean while driving the shifts take a long time to complete? There could be several causes - many concerns are noted with flashing O/D light and/or a check engine light on. However, when not, sometimes it is a computer calibration issue. You may need to visit your local dealership to check for a software update that may improve your issues. There are also known issues with valve body and solenoids on this transmission. Again, not sure exactly what you are experiencing, but you will likely need to find a trusted shop to inspect it.
