What is your question?
I purchased a used 2001 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo with the 6 cylinder. I had the jeep checked out by the dodge dealer before I bought it and they found it had a hard time going in to four wheel and when it did it would bind and not come out of four wheel. The car lot warranted the four wheel for 3 months and since then has put 4 used transfer cases in it. Has any body had a problem compared to this? Could it be anything other than the transfer case?

Transfer case difficult to shift or will not shift into desired range. Transfer case shift linkage binding= Repair or replace linkage as necessary. Insufficient or incorrect lubricant= Drain and refill transfer case with the correct type and quantity of lubricant. Internal transfer case components binding, worn, or damaged= Repair or replace components as necessary. Transfer case noisy in all drive modes. Insufficient or incorrect lubricant. = Drain and refill transfer case with the correct type and quantity of lubricant . Lubricant leaking from transfer case seals or vent.= Transfer case overfilled = Drain lubricant to the correct level. Transfer case vent closed or restricted = Clean or replace vent as necessary. Transfer case seals damaged or installed incorrectly = Replace suspect seal. Transfer case will not shift through 4X4 part time range (light remains on) Incomplete shift due to drivetrain torque load = Momentarily release the accelerator pedal to complete the shift. Incorrect tire pressure = Correct tire pressure as necessary. Excessive Tire wear = Correct tire condition as necessary. Excessive vehicle loading. = Correct as necessary.
