What is your question?
One of my 4 tires has a different tread. Can this possibly cause the CV boot failure? Wouldn't they have noticed the boots were bad when installing the tires or do most tire shops not look at that? Thank you!

No, one tire tread being different than the others doesn't really affect the CV boots. CV boots are rubber, rubber over time loses its elasticity/ flexibility and will eventually rupture. Some shop men will notice worn parts on the car and advise you of this, some won't. lts just a matter of how thorough the tech is and how much money he wants to make. lts called service. Once the boot ruptures then all the grease comes out. This is not so bad if taken care of within lets say a thousand miles. lf driven beyond that, the axle will dry up by attracting dirt and water. Eventually the axle will fail due to wear, result: replace the entire axle as opposed to replacing just the boot with some new grease. Having a different tread will have different affects but will not affect the CV joints/boots at all. Thanks.
