My tire pressure is fine but the indicator light stays on all the time. What can I do to turn it off?

Read your owners manual. It will tell you to overinflate all tires by over 2 psi above recommended. (Found on inside of the fuel door) Drive for short while until light goes out. Then release overage to recommended pressure. If it still doesn't go out, add a little more air to all till light goes out, then lower pressure one tire at a time to recommended and drive a short while. That might tell you which tire sensor might need work.
I have the same problem, the batteries in the sensors are dead. Each sensor is held onto the rim by a strap(inside each tire). Care must be taken when changing tires so as to not damage these sensors. Since I just bought this 2006 escape this spring 2013, next tire change I'll attempt to change these batteries, providing they're changeable.
seems like too much work to have to overinflate, drive a little overinflate more etc. the car only has 20000 miles on it. should go out much easier than that
