The sensors used by the computer in your car to know when to trigger the spark and fuel are the camshaft position sensor located at the rear of the cylinder head (under the wiring harness that runs along the back of the cylinder head its got an electrical connection with three wires in it) and crankshaft sensor is located just under the starter motor at the transmission side of the engine.
