this car has a stumble at idle. could it be vanos defect?

i am a tech working on this bmw. the car sat for 6 months. it had 9 fault code in ecm. i replaced the crankcase vent valve for massive vacum leak and several vacum hoses. also replced missing air injection hose. all fault codes did not come back and car runs great when hot. when start cold it will stumble and occassionally die at idle. i did have a fault code p1397 for cam sensor b circuit. did not replce cam sensor though. i also replced the spark plugs,air filter and oil and filter and have driven the car over 40 miles-drive cycle. rechecked all above work. checked compression and fuel psi in spec. have any suggestions. thanks for time. homesteading this car in dallas!!
