The gear selector slide I find is a smooth black plastic piece. The one that came originally was a stepped piece. How do I find that part number and availability?

I don't have the original number but I manufactured one myself out of vinyl that looks good and is very durable. I would be happy to make one for you if you are interested. I can send you a picture of the piece if you like.
I would also be interested in how you made your slide. I have a 1995 GTC with missing center console slide. I was able to dig most (about 90%) of the old one out, along with the part number (4611583 U.R.) and hole, so I could make one for my 95. Are you still selling the shifter covers? I have a 95 LeBaron and would like to purchase one.

The longer Lebarons are still being driven, the more people will experience this and shifter problems.Please send a picture of the part you made and the thickness of stair tread you used. I made a replacement out of .062 Tk. neoprene rubber with a 60A medium hardness. This material is not rigid enough ( for my application) to constantly stay w/in the confines of the racetrack. I have not been able to locate a harder / more rigid material. Plastic/vinyl shim stock does not appear to be available at the .062 level and the stair tread or " vinyl wall molding" at Lowes is either too thick or flexable. I am looking for some type of reinforced rubber or vinyl w/ a hardness of greater than 60A.

What material did you use to make the slide out of? How much would you charge to make one? Can you send a photo and the dimensions?
I made it out of a vinyl stair tread. It worked well. If you send me your email address, I would be happy to send you some pictures. Just cover the shipping (can't be much). I made two while I was making myself one. It is approximatel13 1/4 inches long and 1 3/4 inches wide. I was not sure if the 1995 console is the same as the 1990, so I did not drill the hole for the gear shift.
I know this is a old post. But can you make more? I have a 91 lebaron and that piece is also missing
