The heater control does not switch the control to adjust between ac heater

You more than likely have a vacuum leak. There should be a small vacuum line coming out of the firewall on the passenger side close to the top, follow it around to the driver's side and it rides along the driver side fender wall under the battery and goes down to the vacuum. If broken you can use a similar size rubber hose to couple it back together. I recently had that same problem and found the line broken behind the battery. It works great now. I hope this helps.
