Engine randomly LOSES POWER turning on service engine light with codes P0351 to P0356 inclusive. Power loss corrects itself after a few minutes of driving with no acceleration or when engine is restarted. Car has only 45,000 miles and problem continues for last 4 years. This SEL model has traction control. Ford Dealer's Computer keeps printing reports that my car runs perfect. Mechanic has driven my car and has experienced the power loss but it runs perfect by the time he reaches the shop. They suggest I bring it back when it is broken but it does not stay broken long enough. Has anyone ever reported such a problem? Temporarily and unexpectedly losing power on our busy highways is no fun.

I have had the same issue, I changed the coil and fuel filter thought it was fixed but it started loosing power again. I wish I knew what to do, only have 82000 on car
I just experienced this problem today. Engine light came on. Did a little research online and the only thing I found and did was disconnect the negative terminal on the battery. All that did was re-set the engine light. So I drove to an autozone and a guy checked the car's computer with a scanner. Since the engine light was out the scanner read no problems. On the way home it came on again and I was noticing a loss of power again. I took it then to an advanced auto store a little closer to where I live and they re-checked it, this time with the engine light on. The error code he got was P0351 and he said that this is the ignition coil(s), primary and secondary (malfunctions) and that I should get it fixed a.s.a.p or I could damage a cylinder. I am now going to see if I could fine exactly what that code means for myself.
