Temperature gauge light comes on /off i have checked coolant and its ok the temperature needle is not going past halfwayis.it ok to drivethecar?

When the car stops there is a noise from the fan , if the temp gauge light is flashing but ig its not flashing there is no noise It happens on /off during the day besides the light flashing the car drives good .

What makes this problem better or worse?

When the car is running for over 20 mins it doesnt flash as often
