Temp Sensor

The temperature Sender/Sensor is easy, it just clips into the cooling hose flange on the side of the cylinder head. The Thermostat is more difficult. I usually get the whole plastic cover as well as the T-stat, because the plastic tends to warp. It can take an hour by the time you fill and bleed and test the system. I always cut off the little air bleed tear drop on the new thermostat ( learned this from a 40+ year VW/Audi tech ) so the air can more easily pass through. VWs are notorious for getting air that is very hard to bleed out in their cooling systems.
