Tapping that sounds like a lifter failing

i have loud tapping that deminishes after it warms up but never goes away. thinking its a lifter issue.

Very common on these engines. Try a thicker oil, or replacing the lifters. Good Luck!

It is the lifters but a mechanic told me that it is no big deal just an anoying sound.He
also said it is common in 4cylinder dodges and plymouths

could be the ideler or timing tensioner

thxs, just going to keep driving it. if it goes then it goes. makes more sense to replace the engine when the time comes.
