What is your question?
I own a 2005 Toyota Highlander and have a really strange issue. Sometimes, when I turn on the AC, it's as if the air in the cabin of the car pressurizes and rattles your ear drums. I can turn off the A/C and it still happens but will go away when I roll down the down windows. If it is a noise, it appears to be so low pitch that I can not hear it.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Goes away when windows are rolled down
How long has your 2005 Toyota Highlander had this problem?
Few weeks

Hello, There are vents on the rear of the vehicle behind the tail lights. They are just little louvered flaps, and you could likely see what I'm talking about if you look for a video where someone is repairing a wrecked Highlander. If birds/bugs are nesting there, or if they are corroded shut, the sensation of overpressure will occur when you pump outside air into the car by force (the air conditioner). Correction: They are located on the sides of the vehicle behind the rear bumper.
