If it takes a jump, and is otherwise dead (no lights at all? No warning lights on the dash come on when it's dead?), then you may have an intermittent draw...a component that for some reason sometimes stays drawing power. Make sure all your lights are shutting off all the time, for example. There could be a module staying powered up. Having the system checked for a parasitic draw would be a good step. This after, of course, basic starting and charging system tests....checking battery condition (even when new, you need to rule that out as a possible issue), alternator amperage and regulator voltage, and starter draw.
Sounds like a starter going bad. If so should cost about $800 including everything.
