For the past 2 or 3 weeks, as I am driving the vehicle will just stop!. no warning! Now it takes a couple of turns before starting up and may stop as soon as I place it in gear. some suggested its the anti theft alarm installed by honda {I am not the original owner}. Others suggest it is the fuel filter. Help! I have own the vehicle for 2 1/2 months.

sounds like it could be a defective idle air control motor. I would check the codes first and foremost. http://repairpal.com/check-engine-light
There is a recall from Honda on the ignition switch for that model year. I have seen cause that problem, Make sure Honda have done the recall (its free call the dealer give them the VIN number and get them to see if they have already done the recall on that car). There is a fuel pump main relay on the right side of the dash that is not a s prone to failure as previous generation Honda's but is also a possibility. Diagnostic test are required to track down the problem but check the ignition switch, Idle Air Control Motor and perhaps clean the throttle housing/butterfly area and check base idle speed adjustment after cleaning the throttle area.
