What is your question?
I looked under the car and the oil leakage was all over the oil pan but there were no visible cracks and I couldn't tell where the leak was coming from and it isn't on anything else not even the oil filter and whatever gear I put it in it jerks hard
What makes this problem better or worse?
Once you start driving it it starts to smoke a little from under the hood from the oil leakage
How long has your 2006 Cadillac DTS had this problem?
Don't know how long this problem has been going on because I just bought the car today used

Cadillac engines of this vintage are almost guaranteed to leak oil profusely. A hands on cleaning, dye test, and leak analysis is needed so you can find where to repair it. The "jerking" into gear is likely unrelated to the oil leaks. Hands on diagnostic testing using a diagnostic tool such as GM's Tech II tool is needed so as to determine what is wrong with the transmission and engine performance. Can't guess -- have to follow workshop manual repair procedures. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
