Speed Sensor

Thanks for your help. No we can not see live data and we do not know if the new sensor is sending out the correct data. Any suggestions other than OE scanner?

Without reading live data and see if the sensor actually processing and sending signal back to the control module it can't be diagnosed correctly, it will be only a guess game. I have seen scanners gave vehicle speed sensor codes while the real problem was a transmission in or output speed sensor. Sometimes cheap scanners fails to interpret factory trouble codes to OBDII DTCs. That's why I'm suggesting a better diagnostic computer and a shop who has the troubleshooting chart and knowledge to diagnose this problem. Zee

Ahh.... After installing new speed sensor to no avail, manually found rack and pinion hose was rubbing on vehicle speed sensor wire. Reconneced wire and that fixed the shifting, speedometer, and average speed mode. Fixed with three days of head aches and a sixteen dollar part. Thanks again for your help
