My Speed Sensor light is on. What does this indicate ? I was told this manfuncation is that the speedometer can not detect the speed the car is going, is this correct? How do I know which sensor it is, I saw on line there is a right & left? My car has 71,000 miles and has regular maintence.

Do you mean an ABS (anti lock brake sensor) has failed? There are 4 on your car one at each wheel. They are used to measure the revolution of each wheel to see if a wheel has locked up under braking. The sensors can be tested using an OHM meter to check for an open circuit but are more correctly tested using an oscilloscope.
