While backing up, my truck suddenly jerked and stop as if I hit another car.. No car in sight..Put the car in drive and it made a clicking noise that lasted just a minute. I put a new transmission in the truck 3 years ago.. any suggestions on what is wrong?

Did you stop or were you forced to stop driving? Sounds like something has broken in the drive train. Would need to be able to do testing to figure out what broke. We just did a 4WD last week, every bolt was seriously tight and locktited in place.
I stopped, put the truck in park, checked underneath, and then backed up a little more...I tested the truck again while backing up and everything sounded and worked fine..Can I still drive it? How much would it cost to get it fixed?
