Smells like gas inside my car

sounds like a fuel leak in the engine compartment, the smell is traveling through the air vents. You will need to do a visual check of the fuel lines and areas where fuel would be to find the leak and then repair as needed. If this is a fuel injected car pay close attention to the fuel injectors they may be leaking.

You want to check the hose that goes from the main line to the fuel filter. I had the same problem, find out the line was too dry and crack. Good luck...
