Check engine light on. AutoZone ran code & came back as problem with gas cap or vaccuum leak. Replaced gas cap & still have light on after disconnecting battery. Looked under hood for vaccuum leak, but not sure where else to look or what to do. Any ideas?

Finding leaks in the evaporative control system requires special equipment. It takes only a small hole somewhere to cause this to occur, and it could be a bad sensor or wiring as well, so it's best to have a professional look at this. Here are some in your area: http://repairpal.com/hummer-repair-in-akron-ohio I suggest going to a shop that regularly addresses these types of problems, or performs emissions testing.
As stupid as it sounds ...touch negative and positive cables together and reinstall , make sure you have a good connection when you reconnect , then sell the piece of crap !!!!!!
