What is your question?
I am approaching 100K miles on my 2010 Honda CR-V and am looking to replace the serpentine belt. Is it prudent to change out the water pump and drive belt tensioner at the same time? Thinking preventative maintenance here. Thanks for your reply, Richard

Hello, it is not in any way necessary to replace anything other than your belt unless you can verify a problem with anything else. If your vehicle had a timing belt (which it does not), it would then be proactive to replace the water pump and timing belt tensioner while replacing the timing belt and drive belt. Not the case for this vehicle. Save your extra money for another day!
Thanks Dave! My Honda dealership (So Tacoma Honda, Tacoma, WA) service advisor was trying to sell me this maintenance package for a thousand bucks last time I was in for a safety recall and an oil change. Other dealerships/shops that I called suggested replacement of the belt only when the car reaches105K.
