whenever i'm stepping on the gas, it makes a screechy noise. it's quite emabarrassing. The thing is, it only happens at night. It's perfectly fine in the day time. i have been told it might be because i need to tighten up the belt but i'm not sure.

Could be that one of the drive belts, when it's cooler, gets noisy. I could need tightening or replacement, and it's hard to say which belt. I would take the car to a shop for help with this--it won't be terribly expensive and it's good to have a check up.
