What is your question?
Hello, My Jeep screeches when I come to a stop. It seems to be worse if I am driving slowly. The screech is only audible when the car is very close to stopping. The best decription I can make is that if step on the brakes the car begins to slow down and as it comes close to a complete stop it begins to squeal. I had the brakes worked on recently ( less than 2 months ago). Everything was fine until now when I started noticing this annoying squeal. Thanks

I had the same problem on my 1981 Toyota Corona. Took it to the shop (after a test drive by the mechanic), they took all four tires off and blew out a ton of dust and dirt - and one small rock - and the noise went away. If you travel on a dirt/gravel road, give this a try.
If your brake pads are stil fine. Someone put the cheap brake pads on your jeep. You should have a good ceramic (raybestos premium, wagner premium, etc) brake pad on your vehicle, rotors should be machines upon installation, and calipers cleaned and lubed. Also the rear brakes adjusted up at same time to relieve some of the pressure from the front brakes. You should not have to pay to adjust the rear brakes if a shop does the front brakes, you can negotiate for them to clean and adjust the rear brakes at no charge when they do the front brakes. If you dont adjust the rear brakes the fronts tend to burn in and squeel because of the mis adjusted pressure in the brake system ( the front brakes are working too hard) Hope this helps.
