Rough Idle and High revving

(1990 Ford F-250)
in The Dalles, OR on April 05, 2010
The truck runs fine for a few minutes and then goes to a rev of about 2,100-2,600 RPM's. I have replaced the AIC valve, had the shop look it all over, and they tested the TPS and it checked out ok. Now they say it is the computer. Anyone else know what the issue could be? !!

i would look for a vaccuum leak. if nothing obvious, then get a smoke test to verify that there is no leaks. ecm is very unlikely.

still sounds like a vaccuum leak. did you change the IAC or idle air control valve?? simple replacement on top of the motor.
