replace my reverse lights, noticed a unused plug? What is this for?

Hello, It may be for a trailer. It sounds funny, but lots of people put trailer hitches on sedans to tow small items like jet skis, ultralight camping trailers (pop-ups), and other small equipment. If you bought the vehicle new, I would not think this is the case, but if you bought the vehicle used, it is certainly possible.
