Replace convertible latch and hook

Hello, You may want to get some hands-on help with this. Even looking in the service manual, it is not clear to me whether or not the entire front bow (the part that goes across the front of the roof, with the latches in it) must be replaced, or if the latches can be serviced separately. I see the part for sale, but the manual has no description for replacement.
