For vehicles equipped with the Trailer Tow Max Duty package and a 9.75-inch heavy duty axle with a 3/4 float axle design, the rear axle hub bolt may fatigue and break. This would prevent motive power and could lead to an accident. This can also prevent the vehicle from being secured in the "park" position for an automatic transmission, potentially allowing the vehicle to roll away. A rollaway vehicle risks injury and an accident.
