DRL that cannot dim may reduce the visibility of other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
The daytime running lamps (DRL) of the vehicle are designed to turn off when the headlights are active. When the headlight switch is rotated from the "autolamps" switch position to the "headlamps on" position, the DRL's may stay active instead of dimming. This can cause the visibility of other drivers to be reduced, increasing risk of a crash.
Recall repairs on your Ford must be performed by a Ford dealership. Ford will begin notifying known owners of affected vehicles beginning in March, 2020. If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ford dealerships. They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with. The Ford recall number is 20C03.
