Recall 18V437000
Inboard Child Seat Anchorage Bars Will Not Accept Child Seat Latch
Recall Details
The child seat anchorage bars on the inboard sides may have excessive adhesive on them from vehicle assembly, preventing proper and secure attachment of a child seat to the vehicle. Dealers will inspect the anchorage bars, remove any excessive adhesive and apply anti-corrosion primer to the inboard child seat anchorage bars free of charge to resolve the concern.
Our Quick Take
The child seat anchorage bars that child seats clip on to may have excessive structural adhesive on them as applied during vehicle assembly. The excessive adhesive will prevent proper secure latching of the child safety seat onto the anchorage bar. If the child seat cannot be properly attached there is an increased risk of occupant injury.
