Recall 17V652000

Doors Open While Driving

Recall Details

Door latch actuator cables may be kinked or bent, or door latches may freeze after water gets into them, which can result in the vehicle doors opening while being driven. Dealers will inspect the door latch actuation cables and install water shields over the door latches free of charge to resolve the concern.

Our Quick Take

The doors of the vehicles may open while driving due to bent or kinked cables that actuate the door latches, or water that freezes in the door latch in cold temperatures. This increases risk of occupant injury.

What Should You Do?

They will also check for any other incomplete recalls on your vehicle.
