Brake fluid may leak from the brake master cylinder into the brake booster assembly, resulting in a possible reduction or loss of braking. Dealers will replace the brake master cylinder and if necessary the brake booster free of charge to resolve the concern.

Recalls on your Ford must be performed by a Ford dealership. Ford will notify known owners of affected vehicles beginning in July, 2016. If you do receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Ford dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. How long it takes to fix a recall depends on many different factors:

How many vehicles are affected by the recall? How complex is the problem to fix? How many different parts are involved in the repair? Are the repair parts available? How many recalled cars can the dealer repair each day (while also doing their daily service business)?

Recalls are unrelated to your warranty coverage. Any recalls that are issued for safety-related items on your vehicle will be repaired by the vehicle manufacturer at no cost to you. Even if your vehicle's warranty has expired and you are not the original owner of the vehicle, you are still eligible to have any open safety recalls on your vehicle repaired.
