Body, Interior & Misc.
If both pieces were not replaced together, the occupant detection and classification system may not be properly calibrated and the passenger air bag may improperly deploy in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
During service work that necessitated replacement of the passenger seat cushion or the Occupant Classification Module, additional needed parts may not have been replaced. This could result in the passenger frontal air bag not deploying properly. Dealers will install a new Occupant Classification Module and Seat Cushion Foam service kit free of charge to resolve the concern.
Recalls on your affected Chrysler must be performed by a Chrysler dealership. Chrysler will notify owners of affected vehicles (a timetable of this notification is not available as of the time of this writing). If you do not receive a notification, but wish to check to see if your vehicle is included, please contact one of your local Chrysler dealerships. They will also check for any other uncompleted recalls on your vehicle. For best results, be prepared to provide your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to the service department consultant you speak with.
