What is your question?
After over a year fighting with Kia they will not do anything about the noise on my vehicle. They say its normal and every repair shop I take it to says if its making a noise, there is a defect. Should not make a noise. I found out at my own expence that the differential assembly is the problem. The center houseing is not machined properly causeing the carrier bearings to wear off center. Also have been informed by Kia this part is not made by Kia and is bought from an outside supplier. Kia says if they replace this part it will make the same noise. No doubt it will if Kia is still receiving this part from the same supplier. Reguardless, Kia should be held responsible.

I have found that Kia really struggles with their quality. It is a young company, and I believe it is a subsidiary of Hyundai. I remember when Hyundai was new, like in the middle 1980s, wow they had some real issues. Can't you have a good shop replace and re-shim the carrier bearings so that they are centered. I used to have to do this at Ford, no rear diff housing was ever made perfect, so we would shim the carrier until it was perfectly centered. We used a dial indicator to absolutely center the carrier with in 1-2 thousands of an inch. It was all part of a rear differential over haul. I did many dozens.
