The rear is leaking and I looked it up and it is recalled so I call them about it and they told me it is vin spesific and my vin didnt match. It doesnt make any sense that all these people would have the same probalem. Im sure its the same seal even though they say its different. If you held the two seals next to each other im sure they are the same. Its a crock. GM just doesnt want to fes up to it. We need to make a statement and get it taking care of before someone's brakes and it takes someone's life in a accident.
I was driving at about 10 mph making a turn and all of a sudden my rear wheel locked up and I pulled off to the side I looked underneath and saw some fluid leaking from the differential I drove it home about 5 blocks away and would hear a really loud clanking sound when I let off the gas
I have had issues with my 2005 catillac cts since I bought it,It was a certified car with only 11,000 miles,I have to put a quart of oil in a week, the moon roof switch doesnt work most the time, the truck when open, slams down on ya head,u have to hold it open,I go threw brakes 2 sets a year, and always feels like I need new brakes, the airbag light always comes on,then off, then on again,I have molding that is not glued fully on ,it sticks up,just about the entire time i had my car my engine light is on,it needs work constantly, tie rod, rack and pinnion starring leaks, oil leaks, from somewhere, car always smells like burning oil at red lights u smell it really bad.It is a money pit, even with the warrenties,it dont matter,u fight with catillac constantly to repair their junk car they sold me from the get go.Its been a very unpleasant, miserable experience, and I worry always if will break down..They treat u like u are beneath them ,like scum, and sit in the chair ,leani.g back, with they leg crossed, tapping on the desk ,looking away from me,as if Im bothering them and wasting their time on me,a customer,..I bought every warrentee they sell,..rim/tire,venture seal, sominex, car car,lo jack, and so on,but issues with most.Their customer service is the worst and the car was not dependable
After going to several mechanics Rear axle seal is leaking. It makes an extremely loud fluctuating wail/grating noise while driving. Cannot drive over 60 mph without it getting louder. Currently trying to gather funds to get fixed. When i called to find out if there was a recall i was told there was only a key fob recall.
Cadillac dealership is recommending they service my rear axle to "reseal rear end" estimating $807.80 for the damages.
I've been noticing the dif leaking the all of a sudden the diff blew up when exiting the highway
Found out today that the "worn tire noise" the salesman told me was wrong with the car is actually the entire rear end of the car.
I had this problem last year Dec. 14' I was driving on I-75 from Naples to Jacksonville and all of a sudden poof, it sounded as if something were dragging. I got into a shop and it was the rear end that needed to be replaced as the axel had leaked unknown to me and eventually caused it to become damaged. I paid about $1500 to get this fixed.
