After closing the front door there is a rattle under the car in a triangular enclosure between the frame and outside edge of the front passenger side of the van. This is near the rear outer seat bolt. The enclosure is either welded or glued to the frame so I cannot find out what inside it is rattling against the frame. I can put my hand on it and feel the rattle. What is this enclosure and how can I get access to its interior so I can eliminate the rattle.

If you are sure there is something in this sealed section I would recommend to have a body shop look a what you are describing. They would be able to advise the best way to access the area. The body shop may need to cut open the section to see what is inside. Once the problem is corrected the section should be repaired to insure the structural integrity of your vehicle.
