Radio won't turn off when key is out is out the ignition

Hello, some vehicles allow this operation and cut the radio off when opening the driver's door. Does this work? If this vehicle is supposed to allow the radio to operate until the door is opened -- and it doesn't shut off when the driver's door is opened -- then there could be a problem with the door ajar switch that tells the vehicle when the driver's door is open and closed. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops

Turn ignition switch OFF - *open any door* - all accessories are supposed to turn OFF as door is opened.
