you will need the radio code. call your closest VW dealer and ask them if they can give you the radio code with either the vin number or the radio serial number. most likely, you will need the radio serial number, which is on the back of the radio chassis. there is a special tool required to pull the radio. you might try a VW specialty shop or auto radio repair shop and just pay them to remove the radio.
