Radiator

Yes and no. The 1997 and 1998 Explorer's do have the same radiators - for the EXACT same application. In other words, if you have a 4.0L SOHC, then you can use the exact radiator from a 4.0L SOHC engine from the other year. If you have a 5.0L, then use a 5.0L. Etc. Manual transmission applications are also separate, due to the presence of the transmission cooler lines on the automatic models.
