Hello, I’m Pete from the Car Genius team at RepairPal. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this concern on your Volvo XC90. A gas gauge that is not working can be caused by a faulty fuel level sensor located inside your fuel tank (most common), a fault with the gauge assembly itself, an internal computer problem, or a wiring concern. I do not see a seperate fuse for the gas gauge assembly on this model myself unfortunately. I recommend having the gas/fuel gauge system tested to help pinpoint which component is creating this concern so it can then be repaired properly from there to resolve this issue. The testing needed is best to have performed by a reputable repair facility that has the correct test equipment and knowledge to perform the needed testing. The cost to repair this concern varies as it depends on which component is found to be at fault needing to be repaired or replaced.
