What is your question?
My serpentine belt broke on my 2003 Volvo XC90 and i took it to a shop becuase i couldnt change it myself. They told me i would need to replace my AC compressor in order for the new belt to work. Is this true? I dont understand why he wouldn't be able to just put the belt on and it run fine.
How long has your 2003 Volvo XC90 had this problem?
Been sitting at shop for a month now

It all depends on if the ac compressor is seized and is what caused your belt to break in the first place. I suggest you get some clarification from the shop on why they want to replace the compressor. Alex
