What is your question?
I recently purchased a 2013 XC60 at CarMax and love it. Great experience! However, I’ve discovered a leak issue the last couple of hard rains. It appears the windshield is leaking and I now see water lines on the interior panels near the dash. I’m positive it’s a real problem after experiencing water droplets falling on my hand while driving. The seal on the driver’s side door shows a white mold-like discoloration and there’s also rust on the steering column shaft above the pedals. There’s no flood history on any of the VHRs, but it’s definitely concerning. I’m researching and appears to be a common reported problem but no recalls for it as of today.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Hard rain
How long has your 2013 Volvo XC60 had this problem?

Hello, this vehicle will need to have a water test to determine where the water is coming in from. If it's from the windshield, the windshield will likely need to be replaced, because resealing the windshield would require removing it, and removing a windshield often fractures it...requiring replacement. If the windshield has been replaced previously in the life of the vehicle, it is possible that sealer may not be appropriate or complete from the installer. This could cause a water leak. It is not indicative of some kind of manufacturer defect - more a workmanship issue of a windshield installer. This is all entirely a guess, but worth looking into. There are other possible causes of water leaks, so make sure you have the testing performed. Use this link to find some shops near you that can help with your concern: www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
