What is your question?
I have a 2001 Volvo v70xc that isn't starting. Ive already checked the timing and have set vvt to correct position. Vehicle cranks and after a few revolutions it starts to speed up as though it is going to start but never does. Immediately after doing the timing I had sprayed starter fluid in the air intake behind the MAF sensor and it fired but still did not run. The last time the car ran I drove to the store fine went in, came out 10-15 min later and it wouldn't start. I had a similar situation 2 weeks prior where it wouldn't start. I left it for a day while I went to the junk yard to get and replace crank position sensor. I have looked under the car and don't see a fuel control mod. I replaced the fuel pump last year because of leaking housing. My code reader is not showing any codes and my guess is it's some kind of computer sensor issue because my pump works and turns on with the ignition and shuts off the 3sec later as usual. Starter also turns and then stops randomly but is fine
What makes this problem better or worse?
Engine turning over a few times
How long has your 2001 Volvo V70 had this problem?

Hello, I applaud your ambitious endeavor to repair your vehicle without capable equipment on hand to perform necessary diagnostic testing. Going off of theory only goes so far. At some point a code reader isn't enough. A diagnostic tool that is able to monitor various components and their readings is essential. and someone that has workshop manual information at their fingertips is also essential. I appreciate your efforts, but at the end of the day, hands-on testing with proper equipment and experience is needed to figure out what's going on. I don't have any suggestion at all because I don't have any data from your vehicle. I can't determine based off of the fact that it won't start what the possible Casas could be. And even if I had some guesses, they would probably be a couple dozen...which is of no help. Very sorry - seek guidance at a local shop near you. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me
