Car turning over but wont start and headlights not working

Hello, I don't see a correlation between a cranking engine that will not start and headlights not working. I can't imagine a relationship. If headlights are not working but there is ample electrical power to crank over the engine - I would look at blown fuses or a switch or wiring concern with the lighting. But it really would not affect the starting. No start would be from a lack of fuel or spark, no engine compression, a timing issue or something of that nature.
