What is your question?
There is a bearing ? noise from the front differential (or transfer case) on the passenger side that that connects to the front wheel, and transfers power to the rear wheels. Can this part be removed, and rebuilt, or can the bearing be replaced? We will probably remove the unit, but I've been told by the dealer that the unit is not made anymore, nor are parts available for it. Any suggestions?

Hello, Transfer cases can be rebuilt, and the dealer is only telling you that they cannot purchase the part from their suppliers. (A little tricky, right?) My advice: -It is a transfer case that splits power to front and rear drive axles -They can be rebuilt unless excessive wear has caused the housing to fail -there are rebuilt transfer cases with warranties for sale online -Evan a salvage unit could be an alternative if you cannot locate one. A good salvage unit could be rebuilt if yours cannot.
